What should I wear to my massage appointment?
Whatever you want! You will be disrobing to your level of comfort for the session; some people remove all their clothing before getting under the sheet, some people prefer to leave on light layers like undergarments/camisoles and socks, some people prefer to keep everything on and get under the sheet fully dressed. So, if you plan to disrobe, wear something relatively easy to remove and put back on. If you plan to remain dressed, wear something comfortable to lie down in.
Do you take health insurance?
I do not bill health insurance. I’ve found that having a flat cash rate helps clients know exactly what to expect and allows me to focus on providing quality hands-on care. If my cash rate presents a barrier for you, I’m happy to refer you to other providers that are credentialed with health insurance companies!
I’m interested in scheduling, but I don’t know if massage will help. Do you offer consultations?
Of course! If you have any questions about whether or not massage therapy is a good fit for you, or whether my work is a good fit, you’re always welcome to call or text me at 614-312-3592, or send me an email at eeclarke.LMT@gmail.com.
Also, at the beginning of every appointment we will take time to talk about medical history, any current issues, and your goals for the session. Then, we make a treatment plan for our time together.
What if I fall asleep?
You’ll get some excellent, judgment-free rest. I continue working, and I’ll wake you when our time is up.
What if I need to use the bathroom during my appointment?
I have a robe available for clients to use so you don’t have to get fully dressed again to use the bathroom down the hall!
What if I need to cancel?
Please let me know as soon as possible!
I require 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Clients who cancel within less than 24 hours will be charged 50% of the session fee unless they are cancelling due to illness.
No-call No Shows will be considered a late cancellation and will be charged 50% of the session fee.
Is your office ADA accessible?
My suite is not ADA accessible; it is on the second floor with stair access only. If this provides a barrier for you, please let me know and we can coordinate an outcall session or I can refer you to an LMT that has an ADA accessible space.
What’s the parking situation?
The parking spots for the building are reserved and not available for clients. Fortunately, there is free street parking on Salmon St. and the surrounding blocks.
My office is also conveniently located within only a couple of blocks of Trimet bus stops for lines 14, 15, and 70.
Should I schedule a 60 minute or a 90 minute session?
It depends! If you’re not sure, please reach out and we can talk about your situation and your goals for care.
Basically: 60 mins is great for targeted work in a couple of areas, 90 is great for when there are more complex goals to work on. If your goal is relaxation, either one is lovely and it’s purely a matter of how long you want to spend blissed out on the table.
